Do your employees feel truly valued?
At this stage of quarantine, morale may be really starting to dip. With uncertainty and fear looming, you may need to go bigger, and find new ways of connecting with your staff.
Appreciation and recognition can be deal breakers when it comes to morale. Right now, team members need to feel appreciated by their organisations.
The method of recognition doesn’t always need to come in the form of a bonus or a pay rise either. There are many simple ways of saying thank you and letting staff know that they are valued. A simple gesture, said at the right time by the right person, can make the world of difference to the confidence of the employee and their attitude towards work.
So, here is this week’s suggestion: Send an individual thank you to each team member!
Send a card and gift, by post, to each member of your team. How about a tea-break care-pack, a carefully chosen desk toy or a voucher for a take-away. Whatever your budget, it represents a recognition of the work they are doing in these challenging times. Combine with a thoughtfully worded card, specific to them, and you will instantly brighten up their day.
