Terms & Conditions

Please review our terms and conditions for all Red Squirrel events, programs and experiences.

Red Squirrel will confirm & deliver the client’s programme upon receiving a confirmation email and the required deposit as stated in these terms & conditions.

Quotations

Quotations are valid for 30 days from date of issue.

Deposit

A deposit 50% of the total invoice is payable at the time of booking in order to confirm the booking and to guarantee your booking date. For programmes less than €1,000 inc VAT in total invoice, 100% of the total invoice is required upon booking.

*Note where deposits have not been received the date may be booked to another event.

Any amounts outstanding of the total invoice is payable 7 days prior to program delivery.

Cancellations

Like all event companies, we require third party contractors and suppliers and are bound by minimum terms with these entities. We therefore incur charges for events cancelled within particular time frames. Due to this, we must institute a cancellation policy.

You must communicate your request to cancel an event in writing to Red Squirrel. You can do so using the anna@redsquirrel.ie email address.

Cancellation – more than 30 days prior to event
Cancellation of a program more than 30 days before the event will incur a cancellation fee equating to 25% of quoted program price.

Cancellation – 15 to 30 days prior to event
Cancellation of a program within 15 to 30 days of delivery date will incur a cancellation fee equating to 50% of the quoted program price.

Cancellation – 2 weeks prior to event
Cancellation of a program within 14 days of the program delivery date will incur a cancellation fee equating to 100% of the quoted program price.

Cancellation by Red Squirrel
We reserve the right to cancel any program or activity due to dangerous conditions or circumstances. If a program or activity must be cancelled under these conditions 100% of the deposit will be refunded unless an agreement of postponement can be arranged by both parties (preferable).

Postponement

Postponement of the program to another available date agreeable with all parties (including third parties) may incur an additional fee. Red Squirrel will advise the client(s) of any additional and external terms (if applicable) associated with the re-organisation of the program(s) and third parties.

Late Payment

Late payments may be recovered on behalf of Red Squirrel by an external third party. All fees associated with recovering the invoice amount will be billable to the client, by contracted third parties.

Payments by Credit Card

A processing fee of 2.2% will apply to payments made by credit card (Visa or Mastercard).

Guaranteed Participant Numbers

The client is required to confirm final numbers participating in the program no less than 14 days prior to the date of their confirmed program. This is the clients ‘guaranteed’ number.

[If the pricing has been quoted as a per person rate, pricing related to the program will be calculated based on whichever is the greater number; the number of people that attend the program or the guaranteed number].

Refund Requests

Where a valid refund claim is presented, the refund will be processed back to the purchaser only.

Refund/credit requests must be submitted in writing to [insert email address].

In no circumstances will compensation or a refund of any kind be issued as a result of all or part of an event being withdrawn due to a participant’s unruly behaviour or intoxication.

Duty of Care

Red Squirrel employs a high degree of skill and professionalism to ensure adequate standards in safety and welfare for participants are met. Neither Red Squirrel nor the parties of Red Squirrel can accept liability for circumstances where damage(s) could not have been avoided even when the exercise of reasonable care occurred on the part of Red Squirrel.

Weather

If, at the sole discretion of Red Squirrel or it’s delegate(s), the weather will prevent the safe conduct of the program, it may be amended, curtailed or postponed to a later date mutually convenient to all parties. The provider will endeavour to provide an alternative program where possible (venue restrictions may apply). An indoor alternative facility may be required and if so, any costs incurred will be payable by the client.

Liability and Indemnity

Red Squirrel is covered by a €6,500,000 Public Liability Insurance policy that covers all participants for any injury or damage caused while participating in our events in the way that we have stated them to be participated in.

To the extent permitted by law, Red Squirrel (inclusive of subcontractors/agents/third parties) will not be held liable for indirect, special, or incidental, punitive, exemplary or consequential loss, costs, expenses and damages (inclusive of the loss of data, profits, or opportunity whether direct or indirect) incurred or suffered by you in connection with your event. This is regardless of contract breaches, tort (incl. negligence) or warranty, under statute, or any other basis of liability.

At the time of your event, you may be required to sign a disclaimer that indemnifies Red Squirrel, it’s employees, subcontractors, agents or any third party from responsibility for injury, loss, or other damages. This is a requirement from our insurer, and we must comply with their request for both our, and your, benefit.

In the event that a claim is to be made, Red Squirrel ensures to take reasonable actions within reasonable time frames to comply with your requests and that of the insurer.

Third Parties

Red Squirrel is both a service provider and agent for a number of third party product and service providers.

Red Squirrel has no responsibility for any services or products provided or not provided by any third party or any other party.

Red Squirrel makes no warranty or representation or guarantees regarding the standard of any service or product to be provided by any third party.

Red Squirrel has:

  • No liability for any act, omission or default, whether negligent or otherwise of any third party provider.
  • No liability for any loss or damage occasioned by any negligent act or omission of any third party provider.
  • Where Red Squirrel’s liability cannot be excluded, such liability is limited to the value of the Event purchased.

Force Majeure

Red Squirrel will not be held liable under any circumstances in the event of force majeure, which includes but is not limited to acts of God, government actions, transport malfunctions, war, riots, public action and the like that is outside the reasonable control of Red Squirrel.

Dress Requirements

Appropriate clothing and footwear suitable to the specific program should be worn. For outdoor activities clothing & footwear should be comfortable and casual, enough not to cause concern if it becomes damaged or dirty. It is preferable that delegates do not bring valuables and limit jewellery worn on a program.

Red Squirrel will not be liable for loss or damage to any goods, equipment, money or property owned by or in the possession of a participant during a program. It is the responsibility of the client to inform all participants of the above.

Health-Related Conditions

While our events are not very physical, we recommend that anyone concerned about a pre-existing medical condition or general fitness level to consult with their health professional prior to participating in our events.

Red Squirrel requires of the participating organisation to inform them (Red Squirrel) of any health-related conditions of their attending delegates.

Alcohol Consumption

It is recommended that alcohol consumption within 12 hours of a program be in moderation. If at the sole discretion of Red Squirrel, a delegate(s) is deemed to prevent the safe running conduct of a program, action in line of safety considerations can be taken.

General

These terms of service constitute the entire agreement between you and Red Squirrel and replaces any previous version of these terms in respect to your event.

You acknowledge that failure, on our part, to exercise or enforce any right or provision within this document does not in any way relinquish or waiver the right of Red Squirrel stipulated within this document and any provisions remain in full force and effect.

Your obligations may not be assigned under these terms without written approval from Red Squirrel. Amendments to these terms from Red Squirrel, however, is at our sole discretion and may be made without prior notice.
